Naomi is a psychological thriller wherein on the surface, seemingly normal behavior and lives are shattered first by rumblings, and then the earthquake of events underneath. All the potential for a cataclysmic human tragedy is here. A May-December marriage is intensified by a lack of wholesome communication and the boiling up of suspicions and fears, unspoken at least by the two people who need most to face them. Add in the ultimate traditional Jewish mother speaking her mind and protecting her not-so-young baby boy against all whom or what might hurt him. This is a brilliantly acted film that you will want to see through to its unanticipated conclusion.
